What Time Is Taco Bell Happy Hour?
Happier Hour runs from 2 PM to 5 PM, seven days a week. The time follows your local time zone, so 2 PM in New York and 2 PM in Los Angeles are both covered.
Because most Taco Bell restaurants are franchised, each store decides whether it joins the deal. A few locations may skip it or change the hours, so it is worth checking before you go.
Taco Bell Happy Hour Menu and Prices
Happier Hour is a drinks-only deal. Here is what you pay during the 2 to 5 PM window compared with a typical regular price.
| Drink | Happier Hour Price | Typical Regular Price* |
|---|---|---|
| Medium Fountain Drink (Baja Blast, Pepsi, Mountain Dew and more) | $1.00 | About $2.49 |
| Regular Freeze (Baja Blast Freeze and seasonal flavors) | $1.00 | About $3.49 |
| Agua Refresca | $2.00 | Varies by location |
*Regular prices are approximate national averages from our Taco Bell drinks menu prices page and vary by location.
Which sizes count?
The deal covers a Medium fountain drink and a Regular Freeze. Other sizes, such as a Large fountain drink, are usually charged at the normal price.
Is food included?
No. Taco Bell’s official FAQ lists only drinks for Happier Hour. If you want cheap food in the afternoon, pair your $1 drink with items from the Taco Bell value menu.
How to Get the Happier Hour Deal
- Go between 2 PM and 5 PM. Orders placed before 2 PM or after 5 PM are charged the normal price.
- Order the right size. Ask for a Medium fountain drink or a Regular Freeze.
- Order any way you like. The price applies at the counter, the drive-thru and usually in the app. No code is needed.
- Check the price before you pay. If the drink is not $1, the store may not be taking part.
How to Check if Your Taco Bell Has Happy Hour
The quickest way is to open the Taco Bell app between 2 and 5 PM, select your store and look at the drink prices. If a Medium drink shows $1, Happier Hour is active there.
You can also call the restaurant or ask at the counter. Taco Bell’s own fine print says to contact the restaurant for prices, hours and participation.
Did Taco Bell Get Rid of Happy Hour?
No. As of October 2026, Happier Hour is still listed on Taco Bell’s official help center. However, some customers report that their local store has stopped the deal or charges more than $1.
That usually means that one location has opted out, not that the deal has ended nationwide. If your usual store doesn’t offer it, try another nearby location.
Tips to Save More During Happier Hour
- Add a value item. A $1 drink plus a Cheesy Roll Up or Spicy Potato Soft Taco makes a very cheap snack.
- Try seasonal Freezes. Limited-time Freeze flavors are usually included at the $1 price.
- Check app deals too. Tuesday Drops and other app offers can stack your savings across different orders. See our Taco Bell deals and promo codes page.
- Watch delivery prices. Delivery apps often charge more, so Happier Hour pricing may not apply there.
